Saturated Fats...Watch Out!

Concentrated mostly in animal products, saturated fats are solid fats that raise harmful LDL cholesterol and increase cardiovascular disease risk. Foods high in saturated fats are damaging to your arteries, so as a result The American Heart Association advises limiting saturated fats to less than seven percent of total calories, which is equivocal to to about 15 grams for the average person intaking 2,000 calorie-a-day diet. It is easy to limit your saturated fat intake, just stay away from high fat content dairy products, limit your red meat intake and manage your meat portions. lastly, and this is a given, as much as possible stay away from fried and greasy foods, these are just swimming in saturated fats.
